Recipe:

Ingredients

  1. Cake Donut Mix 1000 g (6 cups)
  2. Water 500 g (2 cups)


Lamination:


  • Butter or Pastry Margarine 200 g


Preparation Method

  • Mix all ingredients for 10 minutes.
  • Allow rest period of 20 minutes.
  • Prepare pastry margarine or butter.
  • Lamination : Sheet down the dough to 2 cm. thickness, fold over pastry margarine or pastry butter.
  • Give 3 single fold (tri-fold) give rest for 10 - 15 minutes in between 3 folding.
  • Sheet to desired thickness (approx. 1.5 cm - 2 cm).
  • Cut with a suitable cutter (use Donut cutter)
  • Arrange on flour dusted tray or a frying screen.
  • Final proof 30 - 40 minutes.
  • Fry in hot oil (175 - 180OC) about 30 seconds per side.
